December 2010 - update
Since our inspection in 2009 we have continued to develop and grow. We have started the ESCC 'Launchpad to Quality' scheme and have been delighted to have acheived our first module award. We have submitted our second module and are hoping for a result soon.
Maintaining an 'Outstanding' nursery is hard work but it is a challenge that The Blue Door Nursery team are loving!

The Blue Door Nursery in Wilmington Road has been awarded “Outstanding” status by Ofsted and is Seaford’s only nursery to be rated “Outstanding”.
The national education watchdog published its latest inspection report on the nursery last week. The report said: “Overall the quality of the provision is outstanding.” This is the highest judgment that can be made by Ofsted.
The report praised the nursery’s dedicated and well qualified staff team. “They have a highly consistent awareness of individual children's care and welfare needs,” said the report.

Nursery owner Rebecca Swindells said: “We were delighted that Ofsted have recognised the dedication, innovation and care that we take in giving pre-schoolers an environment to thrive in.”
